Stone Selections

With Toll Brothers you have to do group one selections very early on. It's not a big deal usually because it's just the front door, garage doors, bath tub for the master, if you want shower niches and exterior trim colors. However, we are doing the front of the house in all stone so it was a major decision day for me! Scott showed me the typical Toll options, and I didn't love anything. He was so great to drive me around to various neighborhoods until we found a stone I really did like. Done! What a relief!
This week I went into the sales office with our new sales person, Kristin, because Scott was transferred, to choose finishes for both our sitting room and living room fireplaces. I flipped through the Toll stone book and once again just wasn't in love. I went to look at the options outside and again nothing caught my eye. I asked to see my exterior stone choice, and. . . no one could find it! Yikes! It wasn't written in any of our paperwork! The price is there, but nothing else. Kristin said she thought it was Country Ledgestone in Echo by El Dorado. When I got home I went online, and El Dorado does not have a Country Ledgestone option nor do they have an echo color. I did find what I thought was it on another sight- Cultured Stone. I ended up texting Scott and got it all worked out. I just needed to see my previous exterior choice to make sure it worked with my interior choices. Of course in looking through a million stone options I'm not totally sold on my previous exterior choice! Ugh! It's like wedding dress shopping. You just need to stop looking after you make your selection!
Here's what we have on the exterior right now (only all over the front): Cultured Stone Country Ledgestone in Echo Ridge

Here's what I'm thinking of changing to for the exterior: Cultured Stone Cobblefield in Grey

I think I'm going to do the sitting room fireplace in brick: El Dorado TundraBrick in Chalk Dust

And the living room fireplace in either this:

Or one of the stones above that I don't end up using for the exterior.
I'm going in tomorrow to see Kristin again so hopefully I can make a choice and resist temptation to look again and change my mind! ;)
