Nordstrom Misses

While I was sad so many of these thing did not work for my it was probably for the best for my bank account! One of the things I love most about Nordstrom is that they offer free shipping and free returns. I really can't tell how something will work for me unless I get it home and can pair it with a few things in my closet. Even if I love it, if it doesn't work with the rest of my wardrobe I know I shouldn't keep it because I'll never get a great cost per wear out of it (see the hat below). And it's so much fun to put on your own mini fashion show and style the new pieces to see if it's a keeper!

Sadly, these were the misses for me for a few different reasons.

Rag & Bone Dre Slim Boyfriend Jean: These are a really dark wash. They were darker than I like and the fit was blah. I sized down to a 26, and they were still little bit large.

Treasure & Bond Blanket Stripe Cape: I've seen this look so cute on lots of people. I felt like I was wearing a tent. I just wasn't sure I could pull it off so it went back.

Madewell Stripe Blanket Scarf: This one had fringe all around it. More fringe than I like for my scarves :).

Aphrodite Layered Necklace: This was a really shiny gold. Like really shiny. Too shiny for me!

Ralph Lauren Lauren Faux Shearling Moto Jacket: I wanted to love this. I live in Texas where it's never cold, and I still wanted to love this! The arms were cut really large though. I could've layered 8 sweaters under it in the arms! It's so soft though! This was the one I was the most sad to send back.

Halogen Lace Yoke Poplin Stripe Blouse: I sized down to a S in this one because Halogen usually runs large. I definitely should have stayed with a M. That aside it was going to be too short on me (I'm 5'10").

Rag & Bone Floppy Brim Wool Fedora: Ok so I went back and forth on this one. It's a great hat. I have a giant head, got the large, and it was a tad big. I wanted to try a M, but it was sold out. Even on sale at that price point I couldn't justify it. Maybe if I lived in a colder climate. Maybe if I was cooler. Maybe if I ever wore the 4 hats I do have. . .you get the picture!

BP Brice Notched Bootie: Folded up these were too high for me and folded down I thought I looked like an elf or something from Lord of the Rings. I really wanted to like them. Plus they rubbed my ankles in an odd spot. I honestly kept thinking that if Dobby from Harry Potter wore boots these would be them, and he would ROCK them!

Zella Harlow Wrap: I have a BlankNYC Traveler jacket from a few years ago, and this one is too similar for me to keep. It was super soft and fuzzy though!

Halogen Shawl Collar Cashmere Cardigan: I want/need a light grey cardigan, but this one only comes in one size and it swallowed me. It was just too much material. It comes in beautiful colors though and the cashmere was delicious!

Treasure & Bond Plaid Wrap Blanket: The colors weren't as vibrant in person and it was slightly on the itchy side for me.

AG The Legging 8 Years Portrait with Destruction: I have a different pair of AG jeans in my closet that I like more. Plus I ordered the 1822 pair for $42 dollars that I actually liked better!

AG The Legging Ripped Skinny Ankle 4 Years: So this is strange but my knee cap sticks out of these. It's in the perfect place for my knee cap and that drove me insane. I know that's weird ;)!

There were so many great things this year at the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. I did another post on what worked for me, and I have a post coming later this week of all the try ons. I know some people will look amazing in the items that didn't work for me, and I'll be jealous because I wanted it all to work! :)
