House Update!

Toll Brothers does weekly calls with the buyer, the sales rep and the builder. Well since our sales rep left and our builder leaves as of today we've been feeling a little out of the loop. Our calls are supposed to happen every Monday. In the last month I've gotten zero weekly updates. Not a good thing. I thought the first one was a Fourth of July week mix up. I chalked the second one up to Kristin's (the new sales rep) first week. The third one we met with the multimedia man, Aaron, (I'll post about that too) so when we didn't hear from anyone else I thought maybe they were counting that as a call or something. When I didn't hear from anyone yesterday I was out of excuses and not happy. Kristin is always out of the office on Tuesdays and Wednesdays because she has to work Saturday and Sunday, and our new builder, Jim, was on vacation until today so I was patiently waiting until I could get in touch with someone to kindly and politely yet firmly ask what was going on with our house. Especially since I hadn't seen anyone in there in over a week. And I do daily if not twice daily drive bys! ;)

Lo and behold my faith was restored when I received a call this afternoon! Woo Hoo! It was the project manager, Jim, who is also taking over our building, Drew, our old builder who left today, and Scott, our initial sales rep. It was like having the whole team back together again! They said the plumber should be in the house this afternoon and tomorrow fixing his mistakes, and the framers will be in at the same time making the last few changes and removing the arch over the dining room. Also our windows should go in any day now! That's going to be exciting! Lastly, the cabinet guy is coming to take measurements the end of this week! So many fun things! I'm going to meet in person with Jim after the cabinet measurements are taken because there will likely be a few issues and/or questions with the changes I've made to the kitchen and the master bath and all of the built ins we've added.

The best news was that we have a fireplace! Yay! I was so excited to see the fireplace in the living room that I forgot to look and see if there was one in the sitting/breakfast room too! Ahh! We also have all the junction boxes for fans and lighting too. Slow progress, but I'll still take any progress! :)
