When I was in high school I would spend a large chunk of my Sunday night trying on almost everything in my closet. I loved to plan my outfits for the week. I would hang my five choices up together in a separate section of my closet and feel ready for the week. Tell me I'm not the only one that did that please? ;) Try on posts remind me of that. Next time I need to take a picture of my bed when the trying on process is over! It's a disaster! I love to try on new things with the things I already on because even if I love the piece, and even if I like it on me, if it doesn't work with several other things I already I own I try to send it back. To me that means that it doesn't work with my lifestyle, climate, etc. Now if it's really truly love then that's another story!
Here's my marathon Nordstrom Anniversary sale try on post!
Lucky Yabba Bootie in Blush Suede: This boot is comfortable. Really comfortable. I originally wanted it in the olive color, but I threw the blush in my cart too on a whim. When the blush came I was so glad I ordered it too. It's soft and neutral and will look great with the grey and burgundy colors I love to wear in the Fall. Blush is one of the hot Fall colors too. The slit on the side goes down a ways so there's no way you can wear socks with this one. I don't usually ever wear socks with my booties and it's insanely hot here in TX almost year round so neither were a deal breaker for me. I took my TTS 8.

Lucky Yabba Bootie in Olive Suede: My original love. When the catalog for the sale came out this was the only thing in it that I wanted. Well, clearly that changed! Ha! But I still love them. I think I'll get the most use out of these of everything I ordered.
Free People Just the Two of Us Tunic in Navy and Blush: I was not sure how this one would work out because Free People usually is an odd sizing fit on me. I originally ordered this one in blush in XS, but it was too tight in my shoulders. I saw the navy in store and tried it onin a S. I knew it was a winner when ever Caroline liked it. I went home and ordered the blush color as well to compare because in my head that was my first color choice. I'm not sure I can justify keeping two shirts that are this district in the same color, but I can't decide between the two! It does run large so size down one size but remember the fit is suppose to be billowy!
Marc Fisher Valen Sandal: I saw these online and loved the criss cross details. They're super comfortable on. When I first tried them on I thought I would need to punch an extra hole in them (I have skinny ankles) but after wearing them around for a little bit I think they're perfect. They also come in a beautiful blue color that may or may not be hanging out in my cart. . .
Halogen Lace Trim Blouse in Black and White: I sized down to a S in these two tops. I think they will be great layering pieces and the lace will be a fun accent and break up my use of using plain camis and tees to layer. The white is slightly sheer. Not in a 'I can see your bra' way but in a 'i can see if you're wearing high waisted jeans or not' way. Does that make any sense? ;) It doesn't bother me though and with a nude strapless it's not an issue.
Leith Circle Cardigan: I may or may not have bought this cardigan in three colors. Whoops. I sized down to a S and could have possibly done an XS as well. I bought last year's version in black and blush and found them to be a great layering piece and in Texas they're all I really need in the Winter. I found this year's version to run a little bit smaller, but I think because of the ribbing it's a closer fit all over. I found that to be a good thing. I thought these were a steal on a staple so I bought the oatmeal, charcoal and rust colors!
O'Neill Zuma Plaid Fleece: I have a thing for plaid. I have a thing for fleece. This was a no brainer for me especially at this price point. It makes me want to run off to the NC mountains, sit in a rocking chair by a fire and snuggle up with a good book! I took my usual M, and it was perfect.
Caslon Hooded Cardigan: I'm still on the fence on this one. It's likely going back, but it's so cozy and comfy. Plus there's pockets! I mean who doesn't love pockets! My issue is that the ties that cinch the waist show no matter how you tie them. I can't figure it out. And I'm not sold on the material because I think it might pill easily. But I just can't seem to let go of its cozy pockets! I sized own to a S too.
Caslon Asymmetrical Drape Collar Terry Jacket: This may be the softest thing I've ever put on. It's amazing. I sized down to a S. There's still a lot of fabric with the drape collar, but not in a bad way. You know that one piece that is soft and warm and snuggly so that you reach for it every time you go to the movies? This may be that new piece for me. I may be stalking it in another color too. . .
BlankNYC No Limit Suede Jacket in Bank Roll: I bought the BlankNYC suede jacket from last year's sale in black and then later on in the year at full price in tan. It's great quality for the price. I size up to a L because of my swimmer's shoulders and super long arms. I could wear a M, but the L is more comfortable. Online the color looks almost brown. It's not. It's a true perfect for Fall love green color. It's beautiful!
Steve Madden Serena Mixed Media Sneaker: I want to rock these. I really do. Lauren, my 7 year old, wears high tops every day with everything, and she looks amazing. I want to be as cool as my 7 year old! :) I ordered a pair of Golden Goose high tops last year and found them to be so uncomfortable. These look just the same, are a fraction of the price and are comfortable right out of the box. Now to actually wear them. . .
Hinge Mixed Print Top: I wasn't sure how I would feel about this one when I got it on. It had such a strong 70's vibe that I worried it may be too much. But once it was on I loved it! Black jeans and neutral booties (from the sale lat year, but they're available this year too! They are hands down my favorite purchase last year, and I wear them constantly!) paired so well with it to tone it down and let it shine. I really like this one!
Joie Malbi Slim Stretch Cotton Cargo Pants: These were the surprise of the sale for me. I saw them and thought "ohh. . . those are cute
