Multimedia Appointment

We had our appointment with the multimedia guy this week. He was really nice. Apparently our sales person was supposed to set this up months ago so we're running behind. Electrical and wiring is supposed to be the next big thing that goes in so it was extremely important that we got this done ASAP. Luckily we're pretty low key when it comes to tech so it shouldn't be an issue. We don't want to pay for something that's going to be outdated and obsolete in 2 years. We also would prefer to go wireless. Our brother-in-law is super into all of this stuff so I picked his brain at the beach a few weeks ago. He was so helpful!
Aaron sent us over our multimedia plans the night before and we looked everything over before the meeting. When we met with him we walked the house and talked about where we wanted TV's, phones, speakers, security, etc.

We made sure to raise the TV outlets in the master and guest rooms where we will have TV's so we can put them on the wall. The kids won't have TV's in their rooms so we left those plugs low so that it will hide behind furniture.
We prewired the media room for sound because it comes with our media room package, but we likely won't use it. Instead we're going to go with Sonos and get a sound bar, possibly a sub woofer and rear speakers. We will mount those the speakers too. We'll use the wireless Sonos speakers throughout the rest of the house and the back porch.

We also discussed where we needed to have the strongest wireless signal and where to place the router for internet. We're going to use Google Wifi so we can add as we go and take it into the backyard too when we're to that point.
We're going to have the typical door and window security with a doorbell camera, motion detectors, glass break detectors and a few additional features. Our neighborhood is gated though, and I do feel really safe here.
I was thrilled that we came in insanely under budget on this one! That NEVER happens! Small victory!
