Plumbing Take Two!

The girls and I spent the day at a local waterpark to try and beat the heat. Apparently the rest of Texas had the same idea! Yikes! On our way back to the apartment we stopped by the house with our fingers crossed that something was being done. Lo and behold we had plumbers working hard! They had to jack hammer up the concrete in order to get the plumbing lines to the two islands. This means the fault lies with our builder for not catching this earlier and not the plumbers. I'm a little concerned about the integrity of the concrete after having this done. . . I have no idea if I should be or not, but I am. Here's what my kitchen currently looks like. . .

Also the fireplace in the breakfast/sitting room is in place! But it's not in the correct place. :( Womp womp. It's supposed to be raised 10". It's currently flush to the floor. The family room fireplace is raised higher to 18" and has a hearth. At least that one appears to be correct.

They were also doing something to the back patio, but I couldn't tell what it was ;).

So I'm trying to stay really positive, and I'm still so excited about this house, but I'm starting to wonder if absolutely everything is going to go in with something wrong. I hate having to nit pick and point out what's incorrect every week. I guess the people who told me that building a house is a part time job at best really were correct! I'm just going to keep my eye on the prize that it will be worth it on move in day! Whenever that may be. . .
