Monday House Update

Our electrical work is cruising along! I think they should be finished today, and multimedia started their install this morning. I spent a portion of the weekend going over the plans mm by mm to make sure there was an outlet, switch or light kit everywhere there should be one. I have a few notes and questions, but I'm hoping things get resolved today. I'll go back by this evening and double check before we move on to the next stage. All this progress makes for happy munchkins and a happy mom!

A lot of the things that were incorrect or needed to be changed were also remedied. Things like:

The tub in Lauren's bathroom that wasn't supposed to be there was removed and the pan was put into place that will be her glass enclosed shower.

Also the guest room had the tub installed that was supposed to be there all along.

We added doors to either side of the upstairs guest room so we can access all this space on the sides of the closet as storage.

We added blocking to the upper corners of the additional garage so Adam can mount and plug in giant fans to work out with. :)

Oh the plumbers. They're trying to kill me. They ran plumbing to the islands, but it isn't in the correct spot yet. It's about 6 in off. So they have to come back and cut into the slab more to move it into the correct spot. Which means I'm going to have the structural engineer come back out and inspect it before they pour the new concrete. Better safe than sorry! But really plumbers. . . please get it right this time!

The garage was opened up under the rear stairs to allow us to use this as bike storage.

The munchkins loved the french doors! They were the most excited about these I think!

Progress every day! I hear once we get drywall it will take 3 months until we can move in. So there's a chance we could be in by Christmas! I can't even imagine that! That would be so exciting! I'm not getting my hopes up though, and I keep telling myself February so I won't be disappointed!
